I play classical/fingerstyle guitar and have been looking for an electric that would allow me a more natural adaptation from the wide and flat neck classical guitars that I love to play. I was looking for the tonal flexibility, extended fret board, and low action of a steel string electric, but with the neck width and bridge string spacing of a classical. Halo nailed it! I love the smooth feel of the neck finish, width, and radius, the easy accessibility up to the 24th fret, the perfect spacing for right hand fingerstyle playing, and the incredibly easy to play action. The simplicity of the look is very beautiful, I love the solid body with the glossy finish, and the satin finish on the neck. The pickups are neutral, but with an acoustic brightness and high output that allow me to shape the tone easily. I love playing lead/jazz/melodic improv on this guitar with a fender twin reverb type of sound. The wider neck is not getting in the way of playing non-classical/fingerstyle music.

I ordered the wide neck Octavia and I have been playing it for over an hour now and I may not get any sleep tonight because I can't put it down! I can tell now this is going to be my main guitar. Plays great sounds great what's not to love!!!! Very happy with the company and it's service. I was hesitant to buy a guitar without trying it first but it's a great company

I love it! First of all, the natural finish looks so much better than the photo. The neck is smooth as silk. No sharp edges anywhere. The wider string spacing is going to be a blast to play with. My fingers are a little fatter than they used to be (I’m 61 so give me some slack). This is what first caught my attention when I saw it on sale. These pickups sound phenomenal (Halo Wide Range Calibrated Set). I’ve been noodling on my Marshall so far but tomorrow I’ll plug into the Boss Katana to really get them screaming. The setup is perfect by the way. The tech really paid attention to detail in making sure this guitar was ready to go out. Job well done!!

After buying and returning 8 different guitars-all difficult for me to play as a beginner with large hands and fingers-I fortunately came across the Halo Octavia, and that was the end of my constant buying. Finally a Nut Width that is absolutely wonderful and a joy to play. Why aren't more guitars made with larger Nut sizes? Such a difference, and now learning guitar has become fun! Thanks, Halo, for making a guitar for players with larger hands and fingers.

I ordered the Octavia Wide Neck 6-string guitar and could not be happier. It came out of the box perfectly setup and it has a superb clean tone with a healthy amount of sustain. Next time I am shopping for a guitar, Halo is the first place I'll look.

I just received my Octavia 6-string wide neck in natural finish. It is awesome! Being a classical guitarist, I could never get comfortable with the narrow neck of my Fender Stratocaster, so I had to sell it (sorry Eric). Transitioning from my classical guitar to the Halo is a breeze. I have a Boss Katana 50 Mk2 amp, which pairs with the Halo really well. The guitar arrived a day early (ordered it Friday, received it the next Wednesday) and it was packaged very securely (double boxed, foam padding, and hard case). The guitar is a pleasure to play and looks amazing. The natural finish is very simple and clean - looks even better than on the Halo website (in mine, anyway, there's not quite as much colour contrast between the body and the neck). Halo's customer service was excellent. Marcus responded quickly to my emails while I was deciding which model to go for and followed up after I received it to make sure everything was ok. If you are looking for an electric guitar with a wider neck, I can't recommend Halo, the company, and Octavia, the guitar, highly enough. Very satisfied.

Really nice brown burst top. The wide neck is pretty wild, yielding a string spacing that allows easy fingerstyle play (I mainly play classical or flamenco guitars). It makes a huge difference. Thanks!

This Halo guitar plays nicer than 6 other guitars I have, including one that costs twice as much. The Octavia is now the guitar that I do all my hours of practicing on and I also use it for the majority of my recordings and performances as well.

This is the first time I have ordered a guitar off of a web site without ever playing the product. This guitar is actually not as expensive as some of the guitars that I already have, but is quickly becoming my favorite. The extra wide neck is perfect because I have very big hands. After playing other popular name brand guitars for over 30 years I feel like ive finally got the guitar I was meant to have. The neck plays like a dream. I originally ordered the natural wood finish but the guys at Halo showed me two new finishes for 2020 and gave me the option to switch the finish. Which I did. I would call it a brown burst but the finish is awesome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a beautiful guitar. It looks amazing, sounds amazing, and with 30+ guitars in my collection, I cant put this one down. Well done!!
